The Go Boat Last Chance qualifier (sans Go Boat) was held on Sunday, July 25th. Tropical storm Bonnie moved the tournament from Saturday to Sunday. The decision was a good choice because of the great conditions and personal best scores.
Dani Dumala’s personal best was upped by 1 buoy and has increased her buoy count by 6 buoys in the last 2 tournaments. She stroked 2 at 28 off.
Samantha Dumala increased hers by 6 buoys, and has increased her buoy count by 10 buoys in the last 2 tournaments. Her score was 1 at 35 off!
Ashley increase her buoy count by 3 buoys, but most of all has put the dreaded 15 off monkey in the trunk. Although she has ran the pass in practice many times, running it in a tournament qualifies you for a “Got to have it” at Cold Stone.
All 3 Girls went to Cold Stone Sunday night to celebrate their accomplishments. Becky and Trish did not go because they said they would like to keep their girlish figures. Laurie was not even invited because she hasn’t had a PB is 4 years and is considered chopped liver.
Becky and Trish let out yelps after a great pass for Trish with 2 at 38 off and Becky’s PB of 2 at 28 off.
Kevin Shealy was the “favored” skier of the day and received two (2) re-rides. One because of weeds and the other for a boat that kicked up some rollers. We can verify the weeds by the confirmation of this photo.
Patrick Rosevear complained of a sore shoulder, but it was just an excuse as we can see by his great form in this slide show. There was also talk that he dis-liked hippies.

Thanks to Charlotte for organzing a dinner at Duffy’s afterwards. Everyone had a great time. You can get the scores here on USA Water Ski

I have to say the members of this club are very friendly and ready to help you learn the ropes.
Charolette taught us how to use the computer program for the start gate video.
I also learned the judging rules for the bouys.
Then the club treated us to Dinner at Duffy’s.
Watching the Junior girls was a treat, I wish I had learned to ski at that age.
We have some awesome skiers at our club and I’m proud to be a member.
